Clement Eugene “C.E.” Gajewski born in Mixville, Texas, on Oct. 23, 1931, but resided in Rosenberg, Texas, for over 60 years, passed away on Nov. 21, 2020, at the age of 89, after a long battle with cancer.
Clem was preceded in death by his parents, Frank P. and Louise (Orsak) Gajewski, brothers Joe and Eugene Gajewski, sister Clara Stastny, and grandson Jerry Brdecka IV. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara (Bieneck) Gajewski; brothers, Steve Gajewski and wife Nancy, and Victor Gajewski and wife Betty; sister, Frances Stastny; sons, Nathan, Darrell, and Russell Sebesta; daughter Kimberly; five living grandsons, Tyler, Drew, Cain and Garrett Sebesta and Richard “Jake” Ortega.
Clem worked for many years at the WKM Foundry. After retirement, he was known as a local business owner to include: C.E. Gajewski Construction and “The Office,” Rosenberg’s local beer and pool hall from 1980-1994, where many of the locals gathered after work for a cold beer.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, at Garmany and Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 Fourth St., Rosenberg. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, for one hour preceding the funeral service. Burial will follow at Friedens United Church of Christ Cemetery, Islieb Road, Beasley, Texas.
